On October, 25, 2011 Daniel Alexandrov delivered a paper “Migrant Children: Research Results, Problems and Horizons” at the seminar “Contemporary Research and Investigations in Education”.
On October, 9 -10 two sociological laboratories of the Higher School of Economics at St. Petersburg went to a trip to Pskov and its suburbs.

Summer Field Research 2011: A Two-Week Course “The Combination of Theory and Practice Based on Community Studies”.
From June 3 to June 5, 2011 in the suburban boarding house “Sunny Meadow” a seminar on "Tools and practices for the development of young researchers" was held. 36 students from different faculties of bachelor and master programs of the HSE who are interested in academic career took part in the seminar. Among them was a researcher from our laboratory, Catherine Kuldina.
Evgeny Kochkin presented his report "Gender Bias in Educational Expectations of Children from Indian Rural Area" at the conference dedicated to South-Asian studies at Humboldt University.
