Laboratory issues analytical report for St. Petersburg Regional Branch of the Russian Red Cross

The Laboratory of Sociology in Education and Science conducted interviews with experts in the field of adaptation and integration of migrant children for St. Petersburg Regional Branch of the Russian Red Cross.

The results were published in the analytical report available via the following link:http://www.spbredcross.org/images/2020/experts.pdf

The study included interviews with regional education committee representatives, as well as scientists developing methods and programmes for teaching Russian language to migrant children. It also covered workers in schools and non-profit organizations dealing with the issue of migrant children in St. Petersburg. 

The report conclusion highlights systemic problems discovered during the study, and offers recommendations aimed at improving the adaptation process of migrant children.

It was not the first time that the Laboratory had worked together with the Red Cross. In 2012, another joint study was conducted, resulting in the issuance of a brochure ‘Migrant Children in St. Petersburg’.
